Jackets

Choose a jacket group by the structure you want to compare. Puffer and down listings use a different set of visual details from windbreakers, denim jackets or fleece layers. Bomber, varsity and track styles introduce their own collar, cuff and pocket arrangements. The subcategories below organise the recorded catalog; they do not certify insulation, weather protection or material composition.

Open a product reference before treating its collage as a single design. Outerwear listings can combine several colours, badge layouts or versions. Keep the selected image and source ID together, especially when comparing pieces that share a similar silhouette.

Researching Jackets

Allow for the layers underneath

Compare chest width, body length, shoulder width and sleeve length with a jacket you can measure. A source's size letter is not a complete fit description. If you intend to wear a substantial layer underneath, account for that when comparing measurements. Ask for the chart and its measuring method rather than estimating room from a zipped model photograph.

Ask for evidence behind technical wording

A smooth shell does not establish water resistance, and visible loft does not identify the filling of a padded jacket. Read the source specification when composition or a performance claim matters. Photographs can help you compare panel layout, closures and lining appearance, but they cannot demonstrate a temperature rating or the performance of a membrane.

Inspect the closure and pocket layout

For QC, compare the front opening, collar, cuffs, hem and both pocket positions against your saved variant. Look at the lining and any visible labels where relevant. A folded jacket may hide a panel or sleeve; request the missing angle rather than assuming symmetry. Confirm detachable parts explicitly, since an item shown beside the jacket is not necessarily included.
